When I saw the Supreme cover featuring Anne Curtis who transformed into a man and who looked like, as the accompanying article said, “Johnny Depp,” I knew I’ve seen that cover.
Lady Gaga’s cover for Vogue Hommes Japan had the same concept for the September 2010 issue (which I’m pretty sure was published earlier than Supreme’s). The clothes are similar, and even the pose is somewhat the same. She posed as “Jo Calderone,” her male alter-ego. (See excerpt of her interview here)
Now that I’ve juxtaposed both images, I can’t help but find Lady Gaga’s cover more impressive. Maybe that’s just me. Maybe I’m just saying that because I’m a self-confessed Lady Gaga fanatic. But I dunno…
